Drawing on the Earth

Drawing on the Earth has been an attempt to create a drawing of gigantic proportion and photograph it from 25-30k feet up in the air via a camera attached to a weather balloon. This project is a collaboration with an aerospace engineer. There have been two successful launches but zero successful retrievals of the balloon. During the first attempt, contact was completely lost with the onboard tracking and it was never retrieved. During the second attempt, the balloon was successfully tracked during the voyage to a landing point...which happened to be 50ft up in a tree. This project is still ongoing.
