HAWRAF created the MARCIVE as an audiovisual, interactive, experiential archive of the Los Angeles based artist Marc Horowitz' paintings, video, and performance works. The website invites users to call a toll-free number to hear none other than the artist himself talk about the work: 1-833-MAR-CIVE. Upon dialing, users are prompted to press the pound key followed by a project number to hear Horowitz narrate the context and story around each piece. Not unlike an audio tour in a museum, the site gives viewers an intimate walkthrough of the work, as told by the artist.
